Lunar Eclipse!

Last night after I got off work I spend 3 hours with some friends hiking around Suttle lake. For those of you who dont know where Suttle lake is, its North West of Sisters toward the coast. At the moment its covered in about 2 feet of snow so we had to snow shoe. I was not complaining though cause I have recently become addicted to Snow shoeing. I think I have gone at least every week this december either with my friend Adam, or Ashley, or Nathan or some combination of the three. Adam and I explored the Pacific coast trail one afternoon up by Three finger Jack. I was disappointed in the fog that came in and prevented some pretty awesome views. But we made up for it on our walk around Suttle lake the next week. I think snow shoeing has replaced running at the moment cause trying to run on the roads (or even the trails in Redmond) is pretty impossible with the amount of snow we have been getting.
Theses photos was the end of our first trek on the Pacific coast trail.
Here are the Suttle lake photos.

Here are some photos from the actual eclipse which was the post peaceful and silent moment in my life. I think that everyone should (if they cannot do so during an eclipse) go out in the woods and just sit and think. Its so peaceful, you get a lot of soul searching done. This night meant a few things to me. It was the first eclipse I had ever seen from beginning to end, it was winter solstice which means the days will soon be longer and warmer, and it was the night I made yet another life decision. I have bought my ticket back to Istanbul, for an inevitable amount of time. Finally.

Here are some photos from the actual eclipse which was the post peaceful and silent moment in my life.
