Make that an easy jet plane! So yesturday Quinn and I went our seperate ways, it was really hard for me to walk one direction while he walked the other knowing that the only means of communication we will have for the next few months will be skype and facebook. The train ride to Nice, France was intence even for me. Mostly because I was lonely having spent the last four months with Quinn it was a little weird to have no one to complain to about the stinky guy, or how hungry I was, or whatever. I did meet a nice girl from North Carolina who I chatted with for a while. It took like 5 hours to get fro, Barcelona to Monpillier and then I had to wait 2 hours at that train station because I didnt buy the next ticket in time. I actually boarded the wrong train and by the time I realized it I literally had 5 seconds to jump off the train. It was a close one but it would have been even worse if I stayed on. Not only would I have been going in the wrong direction but I had forgotten that in France you have to validate your ticket and I had forgot to do that too, which would have been a double no no. So thankfully I got off in time and realized everyone else was validating their tickets and that I needed to do that also. On the Train to Marseille fro, Montpiller I fell asleep and almost missed my stop then again from Marsielle to Nice I fell asleep but thankfully Nice was the last stop for the train. It was 13 hours of train riding and about 12 hours too much for me!!!
Once in Nice I had to buy my ticket to Basel Switzerland where my flight is from. Unfortunatly I was only able to get onto the night train which is cutting everything a little close. The ticket was only 1 euro (awesome) but I get to Basel at 8am which leaves me one hour to figure out how to get to the airport and then to check in. I am crossing my fingers and hoping that its easy.
Well the next blog will be coming from Istanbul! I cant believe I am almost there. Now I am off to watch the sunset over the Mediteranean Sea in Nice, France. Ce la vie!!!
