All In The Same

This is the arabic symbol for Allah. I know this because I not only see it everywhere but I am also learning about Arabic through a weekly lesson that is given at my host families house. From my interest in these lessons I have gotten many presents including a book on Arabic letters and scrips, a Qur'an translated into English, and my favorite, a Qur'an in Arabic with English subtitles. Its really interesting to me that I have never learned anything about the Qur'an other then its the book Muslims use for religious purposes. I started to read my new books and was immediately entranced by the similarities to the Christian bible. I already knew that all religions are based off the same ideas, the same morals, very similar stories, and basically extremely similar scripts but it is blowing my mind how similar they are. There are differences yes, but subtle ones for the most part are all I notice. I am sure scholars and people of deep religious views would argue left and right with me. I am not claiming to be neither, just doing what I do best and taking what knowledge I know, what knowledge I can obtain and making my own educational conclusion based of learned facts versus hearsay. I am sure I will have more to say on this as time goes on.
