As My time in Istanbul has come to the last few days I have a lot to think about. There are several things changing in my life now some for better some for worse but only time will tell me how they turn out. I am going to stay positive and optimistic as well as open minded. Change is not always a bad thing, in fact its never really a bad thing. Usually change happens because we need it, there is a saying I love and it goes like this "change of place change of mind" I think that's necessary for my life right now. Something new always leads to a new perspective and if that means change then so be it. I will take the next step of my life as a challenge and look forward to the experience with open arms.
I have recently made a decision that was hard, but easy. I have decided that I like Istanbul enough to try and stay here longer. I will be returning home in August as planned but for more of a long visit. Then back to Istanbul, back to the Bosphorus for my morning runs, Taxsim for my dose of social life, Sultanahmet for my history fill and the fresh fish for my protein! I will miss this city so much as I make the move to Antalya and then back to the states. I am very excited about Antalya however... SUN! I cant wait for the beaches, more ancient sightseeing and of course the twins! I will always love Istanbul however and cant wait for my move back! I am going to miss my friends here Catherine and Mahmut who have shown me the real Istanbul, the part that I want to be a part of. I understand why Catherine wants to move here and live here, not only does she have an amazing BF but he lives and is part of an amazing city. So Istanbul, you have been amazing to me thus far and when I return I am expecting nothing but the best from you! I love you!
I can't wait to have you back but I love so much that you've fallen in love with where you are. Although, we could probably pick you up and place you in any part of the world and you would more than likely find something about it that you loved, because you my dear, can see great things when most people can only see bad. LOVE YOU
ReplyDeleteBence bir yeni başlangıç :D Have fun. İ miss you. See you soon! xoxo
ReplyDeleteSo Catherine & Mahmut have been good to you but not us? :( Being your host family, convincing you to come here in the first place, introducing you to Catherine and the other friends, treating you as a real sister, sharing our home and food with you? looks like it`s not worth mentioning compared to the coctails on the beach. lol. We believe it`s worth for us to say that we loved you and all that you did for us. Huma, Ece & Ege
ReplyDeleteSo ıts not enough that for the past sıx months most of thıs blog has been dedıcated to you Ece and Ege? I mean there are at least a half dozen posts mentıonıng you guys. I am sorry ıf thıs one tıme my love and aknowledgement went elsewhere that doesnt mean ı love you less and you should know that.
ReplyDeleteHi Ashey ! Thank you for all that you did for us and for the newcoming au pairs ! We love you very much too and wish that you`ll be our au pair again at some point, or maybe Ece will be your au pair when she grows up and takes care of your kids. Maybe I was a bit jealous of Catherine & Mahmut in this last blog :)
