Sometimes I wonder if I will ever slow down? Probably not, its my nature to always be busy, its my nature to have one thing going on, then to add another and another until I am so swamped I am exhausted. This is how I like life. I dont like to sit and watch TV, (which is honestly a lie because I do watch a screen for hours at a time at least once a day only is a computer rather then a televison.) I love bieng able to have a ruitine and without one I feel unorganized and crazy. Lists are one of my favorite things to make, they are up there with blogging and writing. I make lists about everything, the distance it is from one point to the other, foods I want to try, things I want to do while in Istanbul, things I have already done, places to go, places I have seen. You get the point. I am just one of those people who have to be on the go go go...
With Ece and Ege thats easy peasy as its always a challenge to get them fixed on something else other then the TV. For Ege you have to actually drag out all his favorite toys until one strikes his inerest long enough for me to hit the off switch. Ece is so much easier, if you just make something a "race" then she is all about it, of course only if she wins. So for brushing teeth and hair time its, "Who will get to the bathroom first Ece?" or for bed time "Who will get under the covers first?" I love it! She is also easy to please in the day as well, just pull out some construction paper, glitter, glue and involve some type of fairy making project with stickers and your are set! As I said earlier I am pretty ruitine so I try m hardest to keep the kids on a set schedule. Ece dressed and ready by 8:30am so Huma doesnt have to worry about her as she gets ready for her day. Ege gets an egg and a small meal before nap time which if I am luck is between 11-12. Ece goes to bed at EXACTLY 7pm so she is asleep by 7:30pm and I am astonished at how well this schedule has gone, the poor girl gets exhausted at school. Now Ege on the whole bedtime thing is a bit difficult and so far that ones up to his mommy.
So another thing to add to my busy schedule is my training schedule for the half marathon in Berlin, Germany. My first one and it will be over seas, in a different country. I have been getting ready for it by creating, yes a running blog. If ou have not already read it here is the link. I am working on being as healthy as I possibly can, and as prepared as I possibly can so that I dont hurt myself and come back with a positive attitude! Well wish me luck! Miss you all!
