Valencia is gorgeous and sunny! The weather has been in the high 60´s since we got here! Such a great change from the weather we had been getting before. Yesturday we spend the afternoon laying out on the beach which is part of the Costa del Azahar of Spain. Valencia has close to a million people (800,000 about) and seems larger then that even. Its a very industrial looking city with high skyscrapers and apartments, it has the most adorable little old town area with buildings set in the 1800´s. The streets are similar to those of Barcelona with such unique architecture. Spain is really big are unique buildings and crazy designs. There is a playground that has a "jungle gym" for kids to play on thats in the shape of Gulliver like in the book Gullivers Travels, picture the movie where he is tied down by the little people. Thats what the jungle gym looks like a giant person tied down with dozens of "little people" running all over it! It was so cool.
The best park I think I have seen (besides the Guel Park in Barcelona) the park runs all through the city because it used to be a river. There are even bridges that go over the "river" still, only its now there are benches, trees, gardens, runners, biggers, walkers, and all type sof people occupying it.
The beach was not like a beach in Cinque Terre where there are rocks all over, but a sandy one that was comfortable to lay on and take a nap. One of the coolest buildings we saw was this new age science museum that was in the shape of a human eye. There were like four parts to it, Imax theatre, science Museum, one part that wasnt finished, and then a huge aquarium type oceanography museum. Cool place, awesome architecture like I said.
I am really glad that we got to stop here, it wasnt on our list at first next stop Cordoba Spain then off to Morocco!
Thanks for reading by the way everyone!
