You get to see some really awesome churches....There are so many Roman Catholic Churches that I lost count after I'd been inside like 15! Good thing I was making a list, the largest one mimics the Vatican and is named the Patriarchia. Its very large and has a lot of gold on the outside of it within the mosaics. It must have recently been cleaned because it was in very good condition.
I also saw Stravropoleos, St. Josephs, St. Nicolas Choral Temple and Apostles Church which is dated back to 1516.

Then you get to see some interesting people....
There were several times where I was taken back, took a second look, laughed, or quickly moved on from the people that I saw waking around Bucharest. I immediately got the feeling that I was not in "Kansas" anymore when I struggled with the directions for the hostel and actually got lost. This was the first time where I actually had to get out a phone and call the hostel because I knew it was getting dark, I didnt want to be in this area at night (I could tell)) and I just had no idea where to do (there were NO street signs.)
This guy was in the Cismigiu Garden which is a beautiful garden with fountains, boat rides, flowers, live music and a restaurant. But he choose this place to pluck the hairs from his cheek.
Then in the same park there was this fellow who was running, then he would stop and pray to the bushes, this time he was actually making s pushing movement like he was trying to force some of his energy to the trees or something... it was strange...
This wasn't so weird but cool to walk into... it was a baby's baptism.
You will then see some more churches and parks...
This was my favorite church, St Nicolas.
Then last but not least you will ....
The only street with signs... believe me |
