"To write something, you have to risk making a fool of yourself" Anne Rice
Today I realized just how much writing this blog and in my journals really means to me. I hit this inspirational thought when I came across two other blogs written by people of two different ages, with two different lives then mine but we are united in that we write about our lives in hopes that someone else is reading and enjoying it.
So every once in a while I will browse the blogs of interest page on gmail and that's where I found these two unique people. The first one is the story and stories from a man named Barry Fraser (I sure hope he doesn't mind me blogging about him.) His blog Started as a collection of stories and experiences from his life. However as we all very well know, life takes on on these wacky twists and turns and his blog became a view of his life as he travels through a path of doctor visits and chemotherapy. I love his blog because you can really feel the things he is experiencing and see that they are a journey as well as a challenge that he is not afraid to write about.
The other blog of note I recently have taken interests in is from a 16year old girl who is currently blogging as she sails solo around the world..... yeah read that sentence again and let it sink in. This girl is amazing, as are her parents for letting her do this. I would love to be able to say, oh ya I sailed on my own around the world before I graduated high school. Her name is Abby and she updates her blog almost everyday. I love hearing about this amazing experience she is having, makes me think gosh and here I am getting upset cause I have to buy Nike's at a higher price since I am not in the USA.
Some other blogs I love to keep up with are actually joined to my other blog ashleyrun.blogspot.com such as Running Buddies which keeps me motivated to continue my marathon training.
The point I wanted to make is that you never know who will one day come across your writing and really charish what you say. So to whoever reads my blog (if you have not joined it you better....) I hope that I can inspire you to write if not in a blog then maybe on paper in a journal or a word document. Which ever is best for you because one day, you might want to see just what it is you did way back when.
