No matter the weather as long as I am warm and comfortable. Thats all that matters to me. I dont like to be cold, I dont like when my fingers go numb (which happends frequently) and I am not a fan of freezing wind. Regarless of my dislike for cold weather I do enjoy the snow. I was able to get the pleasure of seeing snow in Istanbul this week. It didnt stick to the ground for more then a day but in the early morning out on the tarrace I was reminded of no school days in Bend when we got to stay home and play in the snow. Which makes me think of hot coffee with peppermint and warm fires. All that cozy holiday stuff that just passed. I think that in order to make up for all the missed holiday cheer this past year I will have to do it double time next year which means someone will need to buy me a starbucks card ASAP.
Huma has been nice enough to basically advertise for me and get me a couple side jobs here and there with families who want their children to have experience with native english speakers. I have been making some extra money by just playing, speaking, and socializing as well as teaching children. I am surprised as how fast and well these little ones learn and it only encourges my plans of one day working with children. I guess we will see where the road takes me. Its kinda funny to me to think that some people are starting their careers... I was supposed to me actually, but then the smallest change in your life leads to an even bigger change that works out.
