ROMA!

The next day in Rome was raining cats and dogs so we were off to a late and very wet start. We began our wet adventure walking around the Roman ruins of the Foreum then circled through the Trevi fountain area again in daylight. We walked to the Church of Saint Savannah only to find it closed, then took a small deturn that ended up at the Panthon. This building was amazing to see, it has a hole in the ceiling to let in the light through the dome. It was and it the oldest temple to have been used by pagen believers. It was later changed by the catholic church into a place to give respect to christianities mortars. It was a great place to escape from the rain, and the tourist and to sit for a bit. During the next rain break we ran literally back to our hostel. This hostel I have to talk about for a bit cause it was literally one of the craziest places i have ever seen, honestly i didnt think these type of party people exsisted but they really do. Salvador was the name of the manager at this hostel, he was about 5 feet tall at maybe 35 years old. Our first night there (and our second and third) he made a show of getting everyone in the main hallway and making sangria. This was a huge deal to him, it required 4 girls, one to pour in the wine, juice, sugar and the fruit. This was done in an orderly fashion. Then cups were passed to everyone while he tried to get the entire place to start a dance party in the hall way. Now if you are having a hard time picturing this thing about being able to drink in the dorm rooms, think about everyone being in the hall way with a large bowl of free wine, then think of small italian 30 year olds runnign around trying to get you to drink more and more then dance. It was insane, the best part was actually when they first give us tons of alchol and sugar then after about 2 or 3 hours tell us we need to be quiet. Over all the day although raining was not a waste, we met some awesome Americans ad well as a girl from Chile and an aussie who was awsome!
